Is delivery included?

Rarely. Ask for the delivered price to your address, and ask specifically about stairs, access and whether the item is brought inside or left at the kerb.

How long is the lead time?

Stock items are days; made-to-order or imported items can be many weeks, and Tasmanian freight adds time. Ask for the lead time in writing, because it is the most common source of dispute.

What are my rights if it arrives damaged?

The consumer guarantees apply. You are entitled to a remedy - repair, replacement or refund depending on the seriousness - and you are not required to accept a repair for a major failure.

Should I pay a deposit for a custom order?

A deposit is normal. Get the specification, the delivery date and the cancellation terms in writing, because custom orders often have restricted cancellation rights.

Best Home Furnishings in Launceston

About home furnishings in Launceston

Launceston is the state's northern hub, sitting where the Tamar, North and South Esk rivers meet. It is the second-largest city in Tasmania and the service centre for the whole north, with the CBD, Invermay, Mowbray and the newer estates at Prospect and Newnham all within a few minutes of each other. Frost is a real feature of winter in the Tamar Valley, and the city is flood-aware — the rivers are part of daily life here, not just the view.

The ranking

Featured listings are marked and appear first. The remaining businesses are ordered editorially by what we could verify from their own material. Order is not a paid ranking, and we do not list businesses we cannot confirm.
